The Kiwanis Club of Providence Point is unique in that we are centered in Providence Point a senior community in Issaquah, WA. We are passionate about making our community a better place for our neighbors. We are also devoted to serving the children in our local community. We do this with unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives. Members of our Kiwanis Club do not have to be residents of Providence Point.
One of our most popular service projects is the Medical Loan Closet. We have a variety of medical equipment which we are able to loan to Providence Point residents. The medical equipment includes wheelchairs, walkers, knee scooters, commodes, toilet risers, crutches, canes and more. If you are a resident of Providence Point and are in need of some type of medical equipment, click here to find who to contact.
Providence Point Kiwanis Club has made monetary contributions to many worthwhile charities in the Greater Issaquah Area. The majority of these funds come from our Annual Fund Drive within the Providence Point Community. For the past several years, the residents of Providence Point have annually contributed to this drive. These funds go to the club’s major partners: Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, KidVantage (formerlyEastside Baby Corner}, Providence Marianwood and Eastside Friends of Seniors. In addition, some of this money goes to the Providence Point Kiwanis Foundation to be distributed to many other deserving groups and causes. You will find more information about the Annual Fund Drive under the What We Do menu or click here.
Meetings
Kiwanis meetings are held at noon the first and third Fridays of each month in the Providence Point Clubhouse. Everyone is invited to attend. After lunch on the first Friday of the month, a Board of Directors meeting is held. All members and guests are invited to attend the board meeting.
