Save Old Spectacles

Our Kiwanis Club participates in the Save Old Spectacles program run by the PNW District of Kiwanis International. Providence Point residents donate their old eyeglasses to a drop-off box near the Activities Office in Town Hall. Our representative periodically retrieves them and adds them to a sturdy mailing box. Once the box is full, we send them to the PNW District Kiwanis Office in Portland, Oregon. The District Office then gives them to the Portland Lions Club Hearing & Eye Foundation, which recycles them to needy people in countries around the world. Eyeglass cases are not accepted.
