Issaquah Food Bank

Providence Point residents can leave non-perishable food in a bin next to the Activities Office. The food is delivered to the Issaquah Food Bank. The food bank asks that we only donate unopened and unexpired food items. A priority list of items may be found on the bulletin board above the food bin.

The Issaquah Sammamish Food Project—sometimes called “the green bag project” around the community—is a critical aspect to food sourcing for the Issaquah Food Bank. This program benefits those who rely on our resources by collecting new, high priority food and basic necessities that are donated from neighbors throughout the year.

It’s easy to participate

On the second Saturday of even-numbered months, donors leave their green bag/bags containing the most needed items outside their front door. Neighborhood Coordinators pick up bags from about 10 neighbors, leave empty green bags for next time, and take the donations to the food bank collection site to be unloaded and sorted.
